In our profession, we are keenly aware of the importance of leadership in innovation and yet – the bottleneck all too frequently is at the top. This panel will examine how to close the gap between aspiration to innovate and ability to execute? How best can one explicitly lead and manage innovation? What steps should be take to make innovation a part of the strategic planning process? Striking the balance between creating innovation networks and inter-disciplinary collaboration and setting performance metrics and targets that foster and encourage innovation without overloading the process with structure and micro-measurement.
